Jim Jensen started in the steel business at Caine Steel in East Chicago, Indiana in 1976.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jim also worked for several Chicago based Steel Distributors, always differentiating himself as a top salesman.
Jim founded Metal Master in 1989 by leveraging a small asset base to attract an angel investor. Drawing on his past experience in steel supply and
customer relationships, he used his commitment to personal relationships to begin buying and selling steel to OEM manufacturers, primarily in the Midwest.
His integrity has been the cornerstone of the company's growth and success. As both a salesperson and President of Metal Master, he continues his
commitment to being a partner in his customer's steel supply chain. In 1999 Jim took a bold step, forming a joint venture and entering the steel
processing industry.
Jeff Keiner joined Metal Master in 2001 as the company's sales manager. He was instrumental in improving the company's business technology systems and selling processes which lead to his being named Executive Vice President of Sales and Purchasing. Jeff began his steel career with Bethlehem Steel in its management training program in 1993. He served in a number of sales capacities before entering the steel distribution and end user industries. His experience as both a producer and user of steel makes him a strong proponent for Metal Master's solution selling model. Jeff has a BSBA from Xavier University and an MBA in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
As Metal Master's Chief Financial Officer, Dan Macek plays a strategic role in the overall direction and management of the company. He has an MBA from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University.
